JDD Administrator is used to set up the security and configuration of the JDD and the security of the website.

The JDD can be configured to meet the requirements of the specific user of the JDD.  For example, the JDD may be configured to allow page creators to publish their own pages or that page creators can manipulate menus and so on.

Similarly, the identity and permissions of the various users of the JDD can be specified by supplying a username/password pair against a particular permission, e.g. designer or creator or publisher.

Secure areas of the JDD web site may be easily set up.  A page Template can specify that any web page created from that Template requires a valid username/password pair to be supplied.  Thus, to create a secure area of the website simply requires a specific Template to be used to create the pages in the secure area.
