JDD Designer is used to integrate the graphical design of the website page types into the JDD. Each page type is then represented as a Template in the JDD.
To start work with the JDD Designer, the HTML and CSS for the web site page designs must have been created.
With the page designs in HTML and CSS the JDD Designer is used to create the two design elements of the JDD, the Design and the Template. The underlying graphical appearance of a page is specified in the Design.
In the Templates section of JDD Designer, create one Template for each page type, e.g. section head page, sub-section page, product page etc. and in the Template, supply the specification of content for certain placeholders. Pages built from a particular Template all share the same content in those placeholders. Where no content is supplied for a placeholder, the placeholder will not display.
