These activities are:

• ensuring the site menus are correct
• creating links on pages to other pages within the site (Internal Links)
• reviewing the new or changed pages
• checking the integrity of links to external sites
  

Multi-level menus are automatically created based on where the pages sit in the pages structure.  These menus can be edited to remove a page from the menu or to re-order the menu items.

Internal Links

Copious and clear links to pages within the site is facilitated by the use of the JDD Publisher's Internal Links.  To specify an internal link, the link text phrase is paired with the page name which it should link to.  When a page is to be served by the JDD, it will inspect the page-specific text and, if it finds the link text phrase, turns that into a link for the related page.

Review & Publish

If a page creator is so authorised they may publish their own pages.  However, if a sign-off process is used this review and authorisation is carried out in the JDD Publisher.

Link Checker

Checks all internal and external links to ensure that what they link to exists.  Links created by Internal Links will always be correct but manually created links, both internal and external, may be invalid.
